Révision du genre Telipna Aurivillius (Lepidoptera, Lycaenidae) Michel Libert. , 89pp, In French: Includes 13 plates with colour photos dealing with Telipna genus of butterflies in the family Lycaenidae. Introduction. The genus Muricea Lamouroux, is widely distributed along the eastern Pacific shallow waters (less than 40 m deep), and although it has representatives in the western Atlantic, the highest species richness is attained in the eastern Pacific. We deal with the eastern Pacific Muricea species in the present taxonomic review. The first record appeared as Gorgonia plantaginea.
A revision is presented for the Paramallocera genus with its division into 4 groups based on the morphology and geographical distribution and including keys and illustrations. Five new species are described and 2 new synonyms are established. A lectotype designation is proved for P. ilinizae. Only one species is recorded for Central America and no occurrence was reported in the Hylea. About this book The few species in this genus have been hybridized intensively, yielding hundreds of interesting and dramatic cultivars. Despite their huge popularity among gardeners, however, there has never been a truly comprehensive book on the genus, an oversight which has finally been corrected by Wim Snoeijer, working in concert with.
